A Neighbour (पड़ोसी)
Everyone lives with neighbours,
Each having different attributes.
The rich often ignore, while the poor hesitate,
But Poor can be supportive and kind.
The beautiful admire themselves,
Attracting others,
While the handsome show off,
Also attracting attention.
Fashion enthusiasts, often show-offs,
Motivate others to follow new trends.
Some are rude, dealing unpleasantly,
While others are kind, spreading happiness.
Some always smile,
Teaching us to stay positive.
Some are constantly judging,
Never sparing a chance to tease,
Always finding faults.
Naughty comments
Create nuisance,
But it's important to maintain balance with such neighbours.
The greedy seek only benefits—
Money, services, and devices.
Stay alert around such neighbours.
The selfish don’t consider others,
Focus only on their benefits,
And may trap you in troubles.
The fearless face issues strongly,
Teaching us to confront challenges with pride.
The fearful run away from problems,
Teaching us not to be cowards.
Some always quarrel,
Some constantly abuse,
Making life difficult.
A few cooperate,
Offering support in times of crisis.
Others oppose,
Becoming tough neighbours to deal with.
Some always backbite—
It’s best to keep your distance from them.
Some are very religious,
While others are not.
Some frequently host parties,
Creating noise around them.
Neighbours can be of any type.
Respect and accept them as they are.
Maintaining balance is the key.
Neighbouring countries
Can’t be controlled,
Can’t be changed.
You can’t change your neighbours.
Accept them as they are.
Show empathy and sympathy,
But maintain limits.
Mutual respect is expected from everyone.
Neighbours are neighbours—
Neither completely good nor bad.
